A short animation I've created as part of a school brief.
I’ve edited parts of #004 'th episode of Dream A Dream Podcast led by Shaanan Street
I gave it my own interpention and created this boat on it journey,
mimicing our life journey’s, where we can drift on our voyage,
sometimes we can flow at ease, but sometimes the sea can be rough.
I chose to work with a comic-collage like compostion. as the video goes slowly this collage slowly connects and
we have less 'pieces' on the screen. Where it slowly drifts and develops, and loses its collage composition,
where as we get to the final shot and frame, which is full-frame, as a whole.
(for me it works as a contrast to the "identity loss" in the sudden "Truman show" refrence in the last frame,
as this may be the moment when everything 'shatters'.).
One of the things I really enjoyed is creating the rig for the chain, fully procedural and full control of
the chain’s path, speed, rotation etc.
